Who we are
Behind the majestic church of San Lorenzo, that locals also called Purgatory, branches off a characteristic way, slightly uphill, which is one of many to arrive in the historic center of Agrigento. On it you will find our Bed and Breakfast: “I Tetti di Girgenti” (The roofs of Girgenti), a three-story palace built around the end of the nineteenth century that, in addition to providing comfort, allows you to admire from some of the balconies of the house, but especially from the terrace at the last floor, great views of the Valley of the Temples and the African sea.
Take a few steps to reach the Via Atenea, “the high road, the only plain of the city, from the beautiful greek name” (from “The old and the young” by Nobel Prize Luigi Pirandello, writer), the heart of the city, where, especially in summer evenings, lights, sounds, colors and flavors blend together in a pleasant. The location of our Bed and Breakfast, set back slightly, allowing you to live moments in totally relax and tranquility.
Share with others the emotions and feelings that give us these places, is the main reason that prompted us to open our home to guests for a holiday that you will not easily forget. We are waiting you…
The Bed and Breakfast “Tetti di Girgenti” is located in a strategic position because you can go into the narrow streets and stairways of the Arabic part of the city until reaching, after a journey quaintand charming, to the highest point where it stands imposing and magnificent cathedral of Norman origin, and because a few steps you can reach via Atenea, the main street of the town where you can find a wide variety of restaurant: tavern, chic restaurant, from pubs to fashion lounge where to drink cocktails and enjoy Sicilian and Italian wines and food in the unique “picture frame” that is Agrigento.
